Genres: Comedy, Crime
On their arrival in Kodaikanal, a pair of petty thieves from Theni are mistaken for wolf-hunters by the locals. They decide to make the best out of this misunderstanding, leading to some unexpected consequences.
Kazhugu 2 Movie Review:
Kazhugu, which released a few years ago, hardly has any similarity to its supposedly made sequel, except for its lead artistes and the backdrop of a hill station. While Krishna, one of the leads in the prequel, played a character who retrieves dead bodies from the suicide point, this time, he’s Johnny, a petty thief, who along with Kali Venkat, indulges unapologetically in robbery for living. A certain situation forces the duo to go to Kodaikanal from Theni (where they are settled) and they are mistaken as hunters who have come to save the people there from some dangerous wolves. The movie, in fact, starts with a wolf attack, to which some forest workers fall prey to.

Billed as India’s biggest action entertainer, Saaho is all about the feud among a few members of world’s biggest crime syndicate, based out of Waaji city, somewhere away from India. Some of the over ambitious and brutal men (and a woman) of the gang finish off Roy (Jackie Shroff), their leader, in order to obtain a secret black box through which they aspire to become billionaires.
Meanwhile, cops in India are after a smart thief (Neil Nitin Mukesh) who looted two lakh crore rupees. The team is headed by Ashok (Prabhas) and Amrita (Shraddha Kapoor). After thorough investigation, it’s revealed that there’s a link between the huge sum and Waaji city. The arrival of Vishwa (Arun Vijay), the son of Roy, makes the plot more intriguing as he sets out to find his father’s murderer and the lost money in India.
A movie made on such a grand scale with numerous actors needs a gripping screenplay and convincing characterisations, and that’s exactly what Saaho lacks. There is a hero and the mandatory heroine, and there are way too many villains that it becomes difficult to focus on these many character on screen. None of the antagonists leave a big impact, and this results in a lack of emotional connect with the protagonist.
Female-centric movies with engaging and progressive content have been getting their due of late. Aadai manages to tick several boxes and joins the list, thanks to various factors which work in its favour. Its story revolves around how Kamini (Amala Paul), a bold and care-free girl, deals with the shock of finding herself in a naked state in an abandoned building, following a party, which turns everything topsy-turvy.
It is a delight to watch Amala Paul pull off the character of an unapologetically tomboyish and adventurous girl who works in a TV channel. Her mother (Sriranjini) is worried about her daring nature, but she’s confident of taking care of herself. A sudden birthday party, which her colleagues organise for her in their company’s old building, goes wild, after which a series of intriguing episodes take place.
Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari Movie Review:
Bodhai Yeri Budhi Maari (BYBM) opens with an Alcoholics Anonymous-like rehabilitation meeting for drug Addicts. A couple of the members share their stories and in walks Karthik (debutant Dheeraj, who gets a mass hero-like introduction). He begins to narrate his story, which is a cautionary tale against taking drugs.
We see him as a young man who has everything going for him – a happy family that’s only going to get happier as he is about to get married to his sweetheart (Dusshara, promising). But then he gets that fateful call which takes his to his friend Roshan’s apartment. And what begins as a bachelor party involving friends takes a weird turn when Karthik ends up snorting a drug (one that’s is more potent than weed and cocaine, we are told) by accident. And Karthik’s perfect life begins to unravel in ways that he might have hardly imagined.

Directed and written by: Bharat Kamma
Starring: Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna, Shruti Ramachandran
Genres: Action, Romance
Lilly meets Bobby, literally the boy next door, during her sister’s wedding – imagine cute frames, bouquets, mood lighting, the female protagonist beautifully decked up and walking in slow motion as the camera pans from the floor to the curls of her hair, the boy stealing glances at her.
The day I become more important to you than cricket, Vijay Deverakonda tells Rashmika at a key moment in Bharat Kamma’s Dear Comrade. At the time of viewing, the scene just seems like an aside, a minor cog in the narration. However, Bharat Kamma carefully weaves his narration to circle back to this underlying message — no woman should give up their passion for love. Dear Comrade has drama, anger and loads of passion but the storytelling is elevated by the lead cast and some brilliant cinematography that ensures the film stays with you for long after you leave the theatre.
When Bobby (Vijay Deverakonda) meets Lilly (Rashmika Mandanna) for the first time, he’s a brash, hot-headed student union leader. Inspired by his grandfather, Bobby and his gang of friends call each other Comrade, which we are means a person who stay with you through thick and thin. If Bobby finds anything remotely unjust, he’s ready to bash people up for it. He doesn’t care about the optics or the politics of it, even if it lands him in trouble. But Lilly takes him by surprise. Not only is she unimpressed by his machismo, she effortlessly holds her own among a gang of men and even thrashes them in a game of cricket. But having lost her brother in a college conflict, Lilly senses danger when she looks at Bobby’s violent streak and anger management issues. Can she keep him in check or risk losing him forever?
Thozhar Venkatesan Review:
It’s quite rarely that we get films which make us empathise with its protagonist entirely. Thozhar Venkatesan easily fits into this category, thanks to the genuine portrayal of people who suffer because of the flaws in our system. The movie starts with Venkatesan (Harishankar), a physically challenged person, requesting cops to find his missing vehicle. The cop in the police station is puzzled when Venkatesan says that his lost vehicle is a government bus. He starts narrating his poignant story – on how he became a handicapped person, how Kamali (Monica) entered his life, how he possessed a government bus based on a court verdict, and so on.
Venkatesan supplies soda to different shops, considers himself a self-sufficient mudhalali and takes pride in it as he, unlike his friends, doesn’t need to wait for any superior’s instructions. After inviting Kamali into his life in an unexpected situation, when everything seems to be fine, he becomes dejected after meeting with an accident which was caused by a government bus. After years of hearings and postponements, the court orders the government to provide him a bus as compensation. Will he be able to find the bus which went missing?

Chhota Bheem Kung Fu Dhamaka Watch Online (Single Links – HDRip)
Bheem, who is now in China, to participate in an annual marital arts competition, is faced with the humungous task of bringing a princess home, by fighting her evil cousin Zuhu – who commands an army of slaves and soldiers possessing magical powers.
Anyone who’s watched animated movies from the West will agree that the 3D animation in ‘Chhota Bheem: Kung Fu Dhamaka’ is at par with its Hollywood counterparts. The script, too, imparts a positive lesson on life and the overall look and feel of this children’s movie is just delightful. All the animated characters, even the ones with grey shades, are relatable in their own ways and the background score elevates the impact of the story very well.
Also, Chota Bheem and his gang flying off to China to rescue a princess is an interesting idea to explore, given the current air of political hostility between India and her neighbouring country. But this film was made for children and young adults and in that respect, the length of the animated feature drags a bit too much. The narrative fails to hold your attention after a certain point. A few twists and turns introduced in the plot, especially in the second half, look forced and seem to drag on.
Commercial potboilers are never expected to be believable, because the joy in watching them is their larger than life nature. And there’s a certain pattern to ensuring that high for a viewer. Boyapati Srinu as a filmmaker has time and again excelled at building a perfect emotional context to his action sequences in films starring top stars. However, in the process of doing that, he’s repeated himself way often and the tipping point comes in Vinaya Vidheya Rama, where Boyapati becomes a pale shadow of himself as a storyteller. The problem with Vinaya Vidheya Rama isn’t the deja vu factor but the fact that the filmmaker takes the audiences and cinematic liberties for granted.
Starring a confident and a fit Ram Charan in the lead role, the premise of Vinaya Vidheya Rama is as old as the hills. Five orphans, the youngest of them being Ram (Ram Charan), are raised by a doctor in Visakhapatnam. Ram is so fond of his extended family that he gives up his schooling to take deserving care of them. Even as he grows up, Ram is quite content in not doing a job and continues his violent ways, protecting his brothers and often rubbing the wrong side of the baddies. As his elder brother Bhuvan Kumar is appointed as an election officer and flies to Bihar for duty, Ram and his family are at the receiving end of Raja bhai, a brooding don. Who’s Raja bhai and how Ram rescues his family from this crisis? These are the answers you’re bound to find in the second hour of Vinaya Vidheya Rama.
Gorilla Movie Review:
It would be easy to dismiss Gorilla as a silly, far-fetched film, but the fact is that the film works. The chief reason for this is that the director, Don Sandy, understands the silliness and gets the the cast and crew to tag along for this fun ride.
The film revolves around three down-on-luck friends, who have their own problems. Jeeva (Jiiva, likeable), is a petty criminal, but has fallen in love with Jhansi (Shalini Pandey, trapped in a mandatory romantic interest role), who is being pressured to get married. Sathish (Sathish, whose wisecracks click this time), who is his family’s sole breadwinner, has been given the pink slip at his work, and Venkat (Vivek Prasanna) is an aspiring actor who hopes he can become a hero if he has money. Into their life walks Sadhik (Madhan), a farmer who is on the verge of committing suicide after being turned down by the banks. All four hatch a plan to rob a bank, in an inebriated state, and circumstances force them to follow through with what seems to be a ridiculous plan.
